I should actually go back a little further than Six.
When I was born my father was a singer and my mother was only seventeen. After they split up when I was just one, my mother went to work with Billy Sherill in Nashville. When I was Sixteen months old Harlen Howard walked into Billy's office and he could tell my mom had been crying. So he asked her what was troubling her and she told him her baby girl needed surgery or she would never walk.Harlan took her to the bank and gave her the money and I had my surgery.I was in a body cast and then leg braces for a few years and I got to thank Mr. Howard (the greatest songwriter that ever lived) for making it possible for me to walk.He was sitting in HIS CHAIR.(labeled Harlen Howard) at a restaurant on music row called Effiglio's (hope I spelled it right)
I walked up to him and said "Mr. Howard my name is Shari and I want to thank you for making it possible for me to walk up to you today". He died a few months later so I am grateful that I was able to thank him.
