"Take me Home" (I've Been Waiting Here For You)

Practicing this song to get it perfect~~~
It will be recorded on May 10th
Great way to Start a new year

Lyrics Below~~~~~
Love and Peace,
Shari the Broken Angel

" Take Me Home"

Take Me Home (I've Been Waiting Here For You )

There is a mountain you must climb
That brings you to this heart of mine
Its covered it Thorns,Blood and Bones
And I'm just here waiting for the one who knows

There is a bridge you must cross
Over waters made of pain and loss
There is a castle in the sky
But all the fortress walls are high
There is an Angel in this room
I've been waiting here for you

Don't worry if the walls come crumbling down
My love will keep you from hitting the ground
Hold on tight now don't let go
I'll be right her waiting for your love
To take me home and make me whole

There is a path you must seek
The one that leads you straight to me
It's paved with love, faith and hope
And I'm still here waiting for the one who knows

A thousand stairs but you wont fall
There is a phantom in the hall
There is a lock upon my door
Kick it down forevermore
There is an Angel in this room
I've been waiting here for you

Don't worry if the walls come crumbling down
My love will keep you from hitting the ground
Hold on tight now don't let go
I've been right here waiting for your love
To take me home,Take me home

Sweetest Tongue Has Sharpest Tooth

This is my very favorite poem.It was written by Perrault back in the 1600's I believe. It was the moral of his famous Fairy Tale "Little Red Riding Hood"

Little Girls, this seems to say
never stop upon your way
Never trust a stranger-friend
No one knows how it will end
As your pretty, so be wise
Wolves may lurk in every guise
Handsome they may be and kind
Gay or charming,never mind
Now,as then 'tis simple truth
Sweetest tongue has sharpest tooth!!!

And the moral to this moral is...
TRUST MUST BE EARNED...

"I'm Gonna Ride"

It's a good thing winters over
Now I can go outside
If that old engine turns over
I'll get on my bike and ride

It's been real
But it hasn't been
Real fun here
I'm taking the shortcut to Scooters
For just one beer

Then I'm Gonna Ride
Yes I'm gonna ride
'Till I'm outta site

I hear the women are hot there
And the whiskey's fine
I may be goin' to hell on this Harley
But I'm takin' my time

'Cause it's been real
But it hasn't been
Real fun here
I'm takin' a last look at this place
In my rearview mirror

I'm meeting a friend at the crossroads
On the county line
I hear Jesse James built his bike
So he'll be on time

Then we're gonna ride
Yeah we're gonna ride
'Till we're outta sight

Yeah its been real
But it hasn't been
Real fun here

Song In Studio Today

I wrote a song originally called "Hell On A Harley" and now called "We're Gonna Ride" and it was written for my brother Jon when he came over here and sat on the couch depressed about the way his ex girlfriend Brenda was treating him.Anyway he was watching the Jesse James show about building motorcycles and that's where I got the idea. Anyway the song is in the studio today getting the vocal tracks done by Jamey Bowles and Clinton Gregory.Who is a very talented singer and fiddle player who had a few hit songs and apparently was cheated by the music industry. He is now making a come back.Good luck to him.I really believe he will do well. And I hope my song does really well.
God Bless us all in all we do in 2010.
Love,
Shari

Snow Cream

We had Snow cream Last Night and boy was it good.

Snow Cream

1 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1tsp. Vanilla
big bowl of snow

Put milk, egg and sugar in a bowl and wisk together add vanilla ,wisk in snow and there you go.
Takes just a few minutes and better than going out to get icecream in the snow and take a chance of wrecking your car.

My Songcrafting Journey (cont)

I should actually go back a little further than Six.
When I was born my father was a singer and my mother was only seventeen. After they split up when I was just one, my mother went to work with Billy Sherill in Nashville. When I was Sixteen months old Harlen Howard walked into Billy's office and  he could tell my mom had been crying. So he asked her what was troubling her and she told him her baby girl needed surgery or she would never walk.Harlan took her to the bank and gave her the money and I had my surgery.I was in a body cast and then leg braces for a few years and I got to thank Mr. Howard (the greatest songwriter that ever lived) for making it possible for me to walk.He was sitting in HIS CHAIR.(labeled Harlen Howard) at a restaurant on music row called Effiglio's (hope I spelled it right)
I walked up to him and said "Mr. Howard my name is Shari and I want to thank you for making it possible for me to walk up to you today". He died a few months later so I am grateful that I was able to thank him.

My Songcrafting Journey

When i was about six years old I remember wanting to be just like my Daddy!! He was a singer.I would put my hair in curlers, get all dressed up in my mom or Aunt Liz's beautiful clothes with high heels, take out the curlers brush my hair then stand in the mirror with a hairbrush microphone and sing these little songs I made up as I went along.I had a dream!!!

Carry Me Home

Carry me home
Carry me home

On the feathers of Angels
To the place where you roam
Where tears turn to raindrops
Oh carry me home

Carry me home
Carry me home

On the back of a Redbird
No longer sad and alone
Where pain turns to laughter
Oh carry me home

Carry me home
Carry me home

On the winds of tomarrow
I'll reap the seeds that I've sown
Where hate turns to love
Wont you carry me home

Carry me home
Carry me home

On the wings of a White Dove
To your castle of stone
Weigh my heart as I kneel on my knee's at your throne
And carry me home

Poem For Rosie "Jar of Angels"

***Jar of Angels***
I've got a jar of angels
with holes so they can breath
Im saving them for something
But what else do I need
Its really just a prison
But I wont set them free
I've got a jar of angels for me

I've got a jar of angels
And they have special needs
I've got to feed them something
But what do angels eat?
I've got a jar of angels
Some dont have any wings
I've got a jar of angels for me

I've got a jar of angels
And I cant set them free
I've saved them for the devil
 When he comes after me
I caught them in the garden
Underneith the shade tree
I've got a jar of angels for me
I've got a jar of angels for me
